These terms govern your use of proselis.app. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
In these terms, "I", "me", and "my" refer to Hemanta Kumar Sundaray, the owner and operator of proselis.app. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the website.
License and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, I, Hemanta Kumar Sundaray, own the intellectual property rights for all material on proselis.app, except for the books you write, which are covered in the next section. All rights are reserved. You may use the website for your own personal or business use, subject to these terms.
You must not:
- Republish material from proselis.app
- Sell, rent, or sub-license material from proselis.app
- Reproduce, duplicate, or copy material from proselis.app
- Redistribute content from proselis.app
Your books
The books you write with Proselis are yours. You own your manuscripts — the text, the structure, and the images you add — and I claim no rights over them. You can publish and sell them anywhere, for any personal or commercial purpose, and you do not need my permission or attribution. You are responsible for the content you write and the images you upload, and you confirm you have the right to use them.
Where your work is stored
Proselis is local-first: as you write, your book is saved on your device. When you are online, your books and images are also backed up to your account, so you can continue your work on another device. If you delete a book from your library, Proselis permanently deletes the book, its revision history, and its uploaded images from your account, as described in my privacy policy. I take care to keep your work safe, but you are responsible for keeping your own exports of work that matters to you.
Purchases and payment
Writing with Proselis is free. When you are ready to export your book for publishing, a one-time Publish One Book purchase unlocks unlimited EPUB and print-ready PDF exports for that book. You can export either format or both. Additional image storage is sold separately as a yearly purchase. Prices are shown on the pricing page. Purchases are tied to your account and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Payment and refunds are covered in my refund policy, and the information I collect when you make a purchase is described in my privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You agree to use proselis.app only for lawful purposes, and not in any way that infringes the rights of others or restricts their use of the website.
You agree not to use Proselis to write or publish material that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's copyrights, trademarks, or other rights. I am not responsible for the content of the books you write or how you publish them.
Disclaimer
The website and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. I do not warrant that the website will always be available or error free, or that the tools will meet your requirements.
Nothing in these terms will:
- limit or exclude my or your liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence
- limit or exclude my or your liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- limit any liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms at any time. Any changes take effect once posted on this page. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
