Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what information I collect when you use Proselis, and the steps I take to keep it safe.

Information I collect

I collect personal information only when you create an account. You can sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with Proselis. If you sign in with a one-time code, the only information saved is your email address.

This information keeps your books tied to your account. It lets me sign you in, back up and sync your books across devices, fulfill your purchases, and provide support.

Your books

Proselis is local-first: as you write, your manuscript is saved on your device. When you are online, your books and the images in them are also backed up to your account, so you can continue your work on another device.

Your writing is used only to provide the service — storing it, syncing it, and producing the exports you ask for. It is never read for any other purpose, never used to train AI models, and never shared with or sold to anyone. If you delete a book from your library, Proselis permanently deletes the book, its revision history, and its uploaded images from your account.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Your card and banking details go directly to Razorpay and are never seen or stored by Proselis.

Use of information

I use your email address to sign you in, confirm your purchases, and provide customer support. When provided by Google, your name and profile picture are used only to identify your account within Proselis. I do not send marketing emails, and I never sell your information.

Your choices

An account is required to write with Proselis, because your books are saved to your account — that is what makes cloud backup, device switching, purchases, and support possible. If you would like your account and its data deleted, contact me through the contact us page.

Policy changes

I may update this policy from time to time. If I make significant changes, I will post a notice on the website. Your continued use of Proselis means you accept the updated policy.
